As a coach and consultant Shannon has experience working with clients to uncover what makes them exceptional and funnel their strengths to lead and influence with a sense of purpose, authenticity, openness, and trust. Shannon enjoys working with managers as they step up into leadership – helping them learn and mature and cope with change as their roles become increasingly complex and ambiguous. She is known as a coach that readily provides insight, is naturally inventive and has a keen ability to cut through the “noise” in situations. A natural collaborator Shannon partners with her clients to help them gain more awareness, acceptance and confidence in themselves and find solutions to move things forward. Her previous experience in the corporate environment as a business leader managing teams in marketing and professional development allows her to apply relevant and real world experience in her coaching and workshops. She has experience across many disciplines including product management, product marketing, marketing communications, business development and sales. Shannon created the first retail marketing role in Microsoft Canada and with that success moved to Microsoft’s corporate offices where she managed the US retail category and communications team and then later functioned as the director for Microsoft’s Consumer Products division. Her passion for marketing and professional development led her to the Marketing Excellence team at Microsoft. In that position she was responsible for building organizational capability for branding, storytelling and consumer marketing and oversaw their high potential programs, training and manager capability efforts across the 7,000 marketers worldwide.
